Ah yes, Ellen! The pioneer of the gay life. She had a hit show, I believe it was going into its fifth year. She decided
to "come out of the closet" and tell the world that she was gay. Ellen knew that this could possibly mean her show would be
cancelled, because there had never been an openly gay person, in a lead role, on any series. But true to herself, she did
it. The show was cancelled at the end of the season. She is now in her sixth season of her successful, award winning, talk
show. Take a comic, a leader, a follower, an extremely talented person with a will of iron and wrap them all up. You
have just made an Ellen! An Ellen who has so much humility, graciousness and respect for her fans. Have to give
a great big hug and congratulations to Ellen DeGeneres for celebrating her 1000th show! We wish you many, many more.

William (Bill) Jefferson Clinton
President Clinton was born William Jefferson Blythe III on August
19, 1946, in Hope, Arkansas, three months after his father died in a traffic accident. When he was four, his mother wed Roger
Clinton, of Hot Springs, Arkansas. In high school, he took the family name. Bill graduated from Georgetown University
and in 1968 won a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. He received a law degree from Yale University in 1973, and entered
politics in Arkansas. During the administration of William Jefferson Clinton, the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well
being than at any time in its history. He was the first Democratic president since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win a second term.
He could point to the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership
in the country's history, dropping crime rates in many places, and reduced welfare rolls. He proposed the first balanced budget
in decades and achieved a budget surplus. As part of a plan to celebrate the millennium in 2000, Clinton called for a great
national initiative to end racial discrimination. He was one of our greatest presidents. He gave the white house a sense of
togetherness.

Karen Carpenter
Perhaps the voice she had was the most unique we will ever have the priviledge of hearing again. Her melodic
tones were from the heart. She sang a song with such feeling, that you wanted to hear more and more. She was not with us very
long and her passing left a hole in our hearts. Her recordings are her legacy!
We thank her for that!

Mattie Stepanek A young
man who did more in his short life than most of us do in years. He is greatly missed and I hope you will visit his website
and help his causes and efforts. Mattie died on June 22, 2004, just three weeks before his fourteenth birthday. But he left
us the gift of his Heartsongs, which are his legacy, and our comfort and inspiration. Thousands of people have sent emails
and letters since Mattie's death, filled with prayers and support, and stories of how Mattie touched the lives of people around
the world. Mattie's message reached individuals of all ages, races, nationalities, faiths, abilities, and aspirations. Mattie
truly was the ambassador of humanity he tried to be during his lifetime. In Mattie's honor and memory, his mom will be updating
this website every month or so, to keep people informed of events and news items related to Mattie, his message, and his mission.
